There and Back Again Farm

Kahil and Sherry Mulla bought There and Back Again Farm in October 2016. This ten-acre partial of land is located east of Milford, in Stonelick Township, Clermont County, Ohio.  Prior to the Mullas purchase of this property, it had been used as an off-road vehicle repair shop. But, over the years it had become a mechanics junk yard. Despite all the piles of metal and such, the Mullas could see the property’s potential and knew it was truly a jewel in disguise. It would need some work though!

Right away they started cleaning up the property and began to convert one of the outbuildings. Sherry had a dream of having a piano studio on sight and this building was to become her place to teach piano. The conversion turned into a total rehab project. Because both Kahil and Sherry could only work on it a couple hours a day, or on the weekends, the rehab took until January 2018. Today the outbuilding is a home to a grand piano in a beautiful studio setting where people come to learn to play the piano and bring music into their lives.

There and Back Again Farm is a no kill farm.  We keep a chickens for eggs, but that is all the livestock on the farm.  The Mullas grow flowers, fruits, and vegetables.  They use all-natural fertilizers except for some light commercial fertilizer when needed to invigorate the notorious Clermont clay.  When they do use fertilizer, it is very sparingly. They do not use any pesticides.

Kahil and Sherry have a vision for the farm, to create a place where people and wild creatures can share the land. They do everything they can to promote pollinators, wild birds, and amphibians. And of course, there are many other kinds of critters that make the farm their home, including muskrats which have taken up residence in the pond.

There and Back Again Farm sells fruits, vegetables, plants, and other merchandise.  The proceeds of the sales goes to our continued efforts to clean up the land and to develop a healthy habitat for pollinators, wild birds, and amphibians. There and Back Again Farm also takes donations for the cause of protecting our animal friends and giving them a place to live.
